Biocontacts helps you reach the right people - faster.
How does Biocontacts work?
Members join by a paying fee that gives them 12-months access to a searchable database of industry partnering interests. Members can explore company profiles to identify potential partners based on therapeutic focus, technology type, and development stage. Contact details for key business development and external innovation executives can be unlocked using a credit-based system, ensuring targeted and efficient outreach to potential partners.
Who can benefit from Biocontacts?
Biocontacts is ideal for technology transfer offices (TTOs), small to midsize biotech companies, and professionals in business development or R&D roles. It is especially valuable for those looking to connect with companies and contacts in targeted therapeutic areas or disease indications.

Which companies are included in Biocontacts?
Biocontacts currently provides partnering insights and contacts for pharmaceutical and biotech companies worldwide. We are expanding our platform to include companies in the medical device and animal health industries.

How often is the platform updated?
Biocontacts updates its platform every week to ensure accurate data. We continuously verify and refresh contact information to reflect changes in job roles, companies, and industry movements.
What information is included in a contact profile?
Each contact profile includes key details such as name, job title, company, email address, therapeutic focus and LinkedIn URL (where available).
How are contacts and information verified?
Our data is sourced from a combination of our hundreds of face-to-face meetings with pharma companies each year, company websites and partnering documents, and through our email interactions with companies listed on the platform seeking their latest partnering interests.
Purchasing Credits
How do I purchase credits?
Credits can be purchased through the Biocontacts platform. Simply log into your account, navigate to the "Add Credits" page, and select the credit bundle that best suits your needs. Payment is processed securely using our trusted payment provider Stripe, and credits are available instantly.
Do credits expire?
Credits expire if you don’t purchase new ones within 12 months. However, any contacts you’ve already unlocked will remain accessible in your target lists. If you buy new credits within 12 months of your last purchase, your remaining credits will be extended for another 12 months, keeping your search access active.
How long do contacts stay unlocked?
Once you unlock a contact, it remains accessible in your account indefinitely. You can revisit unlocked contacts anytime without using additional credits. If a contact moves to a different company, they will stay in your target list but will be marked as no longer valid.
What happens if I unlock a contact and their email bounces?
If an email bounces, let us know - we’ll refund your credit for that contact, plus an extra one for your inconvenience. Biocontacts is committed to maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
Can I unlock all contacts at once?
No, the platform is designed to encourage selective unlocking of contacts to ensure companies listed on Biocontacts receive the most appropriate opportunities. This approach helps maintain the quality and relevance of outreach, ensuring that industry partners are connected with opportunities that align with their stated interests.

How does the search functionality work?
Biocontacts offers advanced search capabilities to help you find the most relevant contacts and companies quickly. You can search by:

Company Name – Look up specific companies if you're looking for a contact at a specific company.

Keywords – Search by therapeutic areas, disease indications, modalities, or other relevant terms to find companies working in specific areas of interest.

Can I download my target lists?
Yes, you can download your saved target lists as an Excel spreadsheet for easy reference and seamless integration into your CRM or outreach process.
How secure is my data?
We prioritise the security of your data. Your account information is securely stored on Knack, a cloud-based platform that leverages Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting. AWS is an industry leader in cloud security, trusted by organisations such as Dow Jones, Pfizer, and the CDC. It employs robust security measures, including data encryption, network firewalls, and regular security audits to protect your information.
For analytics, we use Mixpanel, which operates on Google Cloud. Google’s security framework undergoes independent verification against industry-leading standards, including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, PCI DSS, HIPAA, CSA Star, and FedRAMP, ensuring compliance with strict data protection regulations.
Payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1-certified provider, which is the highest level of security certification for online payments. Stripe encrypts all payment details and follows strict security protocols to ensure your financial data remains protected.

Can I access Biocontacts from anywhere?
Yes, Biocontacts is a web-based platform designed for use on computers. While it is accessible on mobile devices, the platform is not optimized for mobile use, and we recommend using a desktop or laptop for the best experience.

Yes, we welcome suggestions for new contacts or companies. If you share valuable business development contacts or partnering insights with us, we’ll add them to the platform and reward you with free credits as a thank you. Let us know if there’s a specific company or individual you’d like to see included.
